Diggers Forest School is a unique nursery environment for children that has a holistic approach to learning, education and wellbeing. Founded in 2007 Diggers was originally an after school club, however growth meant our first nursery in South Harting was opened in 2015. Diggers follows the forest school ethos and the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’. We have worked hard to develop our approach in order to offer a unique and balanced learning foundation for all children, so that they can reach their individual potential. Our nursery is very different to your typical setting as we have access to such vast amounts of outdoor space, across woodlands and farmland for children to explore, learn and discover.
When children are given the freedom to explore and engage with nature magical things happen. By simply stepping outside a child’s imagination is ignited, their senses are awoken and they are free to do what they do best, get muddy, have fun and be kids.
Laura’s Explorerers is a parent & toddler group which has removed the walls for childhood play offering you all the benefits of the more traditional groups but in an environment which offers so much more. This is not your typical group of plastic toys inside a hall, nor is it a Forest School, it’s the missing link in the middle. A wonderful woodland group with onsite facilities offering the chance to connect with nature as we play through the seasons. It’s a place where we bend the rules slightly, take managed risks and step back into the memories from our own childhood, it’s a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
